If you're tired of therapy that helps you understand your problems but doesn't actually change them, I offer something different.

Most Therapy Treats Symptoms.
I Work With What's Actually Creating Them.

You've probably noticed that understanding your patterns doesn't change them. You know exactly why you get anxious before presentations, why you withdraw when criticized, why you replay conversations looking for mistakes. But knowing why doesn't stop it from happening.

That's because anxiety, relationship conflicts, and self-doubt are symptoms. They're what you notice. But they're not what's actually driving your struggles.

What You're Experiencing vs. What's Driving It

  • Anxiety, panic, constant worry → Insecurity, fear of judgment, learned hypervigilance

  • Relationship conflicts, emotional disconnection → Relational wounds, defensive patterns from childhood

  • Low self-esteem, imposter syndrome → Shame-based beliefs about who you are

  • Depression, feeling stuck → Unresolved grief, blocked emotions, disconnection from self

I work with what's creating them.

What Is Experiential Therapy?

It's therapy that works at the level of emotional memory and nervous system—not just thoughts.

Traditional talk therapy helps you understand patterns. Experiential therapy changes them. We work with your body's responses, emotional memory, and what emerges live in sessions—not just analyzing what happened last week.

What this looks like:

  • Working with sensations and emotions as they arise in real-time

  • Shifting beliefs at the level they were encoded (nervous system, not thoughts)

  • Creating new emotional experiences that update old patterns

  • Using your body's signals as information

The methods I use—AEDP, Coherence Therapy, IFS, somatic & embodiment work—all share this: they engage your nervous system and emotional memory, not just your conscious thoughts.

You won't just think differently about yourself—you'll feel and respond differently.

You Might Recognize Yourself If:

This approach works best for people who:

✓ Have done therapy before without lasting change

✓ Understand their patterns intellectually but can't shift them

✓ Are high-functioning but struggling underneath

✓ Can explain their issues clearly but feel stuck in the same responses

✓ Want transformation, not just coping strategies

✓ Are ready for work that challenges them

This may not be the right fit if:

– You're looking for short-term symptom management

– You want quick fixes or surface-level solutions

– You prefer therapy that's always comfortable

– You're seeking someone to just listen and validate

I work with adults and couples. Sessions are available in-person in Victoria or online.

How We Work Together

This isn't passive therapy where you talk and I listen. It's active, collaborative work. We're creating experiences in sessions that shift how your nervous system responds—not just giving you things to think about.

You can expect:

  • Direct feedback when patterns show up live

  • Experiments and experiences in sessions (not just talking)

  • Somatic work—noticing and working with what's happening in your body

  • Challenging questions that help you see beyond your current frame

  • Warmth, but not softness—I care about your growth more than your comfort

About Me

I'm Andras, a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Victoria. My background combines neuroscience (McGill University) with specialized training in experiential approaches like AEDP, Coherence Therapy, and IFS.

I became a therapist because I'm fascinated by how change actually happens—not just why we're stuck. My approach is direct, warm, and grounded in what neuroscience tells us about how patterns shift.
